Planning a Las Vegas Vacation

Plan Ahead for Your Las Vegas Trip

Las Vegas is one of the most popular travel destinations in America. Planning for all of the entertainment, shopping, casinos, and outdoor options and attractions is fun but at the same time can be a bit overwhelming. Being prepared beforehand will allow you to maximize your time in Las Vegas. So consider the following tips when planning your vacation.

1
Create your Las Vegas bucket list.

When visting the entertainment capital of the world, make sure that you are not missing out on the many world-renowned attractions. With a checklist of places you want to visit, you'll be able to make the most of your time in Las Vegas. Don't forget to check out these locations.

  • Watch the Bellagio Fountains

  • Zip-line down Fremont Street

  • Ride the famous High Roller Ferris Wheel

  • Take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon

  • Visit the retirees at the Lion Habitat Ranch

  • Visit Hoover Dam

  • Tour The Ethel M Chocolate Factory

  • Hike Red Rock Canyon

3
Plan out your luggage.

Consider all the places you plan to visit when you pack for your trip and, of course, don't forget to check the weather. You will most likely require a range of clothing options, including casual wear, nightclub attire, outdoor clothing, and swimwear. Las Vegas also typically lures visitors from one place to the next, and before you know it, you could be walking more than you may have anticipated. So packing comfortable footwear is a must. But don't overpack because you will want room for your shopping haul!

4
Plan for your transportation needs.

Plot out the places you plan on visiting during your stay to make sure you have your transportations needs covered. Taxis are readily available from hotels and on the Strip. The monorail also makes seven stops on the Vegas Strip and saves you from getting a cab or renting a car when maneuvering up and down the Strip. Uber and Lyft are also available, so be sure that you have the right apps on your mobile phone. And if you plan on making a trip to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, or other attractions off the Strip, having a rental car is recommended.

5
Plan your finances.

As with any trip, inform your credit card companies and banks that you will be traveling to Las Vegas, just to be sure that you do not encounter any unforseen issues with your accounts.
